Living Literature Presents: Phenomenal Women

Living Literature Presents: Phenomenal Women In-Person

Living Literature presents Phenomenal Women, a 45-minute, two-person readers theater-style medley of poetry, prose, and history that celebrates women. For this program we showcase some of our favorite pieces from the 19th AmendmentMothers & Daughters, and Pearls & Politics programs, celebrating women’s voices, both past and present, who inspire us!

This program does not require registration, but you may sign up below to receive email reminders.

Living Literature is a collective of Rhode Island- and Massachusetts-based artists and educators who create reader’s theater-style performances of non-dramatic writing. Since its inception in January of 1996, Living Literature has created over 100 programs based on poems, stories, novels, plays, essays, biographies, articles, and oral histories. They have presented the works of more than 100 different authors and done presentations in over 50 schools, more than 40 libraries, and many other community venues throughout southeastern New England.

This program is supported by the RI Office of Library and Information Services, with funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
