American Revolution Learning Circle

American Revolution Learning Circle In-Person

A learning circle is a great way to get together with others to study a topic you are interested in!

Join us for a 6-week, peer-led study group, where we'll use film clips, images, articles, discussion questions, and activities to explore themes covered in the upcoming American Revolution film by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein & David Schmidt, which premieres on local PBS stations on Sunday, November 16th. Together, we'll discuss the events that led to the revolution, how people from different landscapes and backgrounds rallied around a common cause, key battles in the Revolutionary War, the experiences of America's indigenous peoples at that time, the roles of women, and the founding documents.

NOTE:

  • You DO NOT have to watch the film to participate in this learning circle.
  • You DO need to attend at least one of the first two sessions to keep your seat in this multi-week class.
